RehaSplint

These new mouth-guard type devices are used for the immediate relaxation of the masticatory muscles, with momentary release of temporomandibular tensions.

Advantages:

- the relaxing effect on the muscles is fast, so patients feel relief immediately

- ideal in cases of severe bruxism

- eliminates pain caused by muscle tension in the masticatory system

- they are biocompatible, free of BPA, latex and plasticizers

- they have no sharp edges or edges that are sticky, ensuring increased patient comfort

All models are the same universal size and are rounded, following the shape of the jaw.

They can be used very comfortably during the night to prevent increased temporomandibular tension.

Models:

Three hardness options are available: Hard (60 Shore A), Soft (40 Shore A) and Medium (50 Shore A)

1. RehaSplint Hard (blue)

- for severe bruxism

- recommended for 90% of patients

- immediate relief of discomfort caused by temporomandibular tensions

- preparation for neuromuscular bite registration

- daytime bruxism

- various breathing problems during sleep (snoring)

- very comfortable

- also recommended during sports activities (cycling, golf)

RehaSplint can also be a good diagnostic tool.

If the patient suffers from typical symptoms of temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD), also called myarthropathy, RehaBite can be used as an initial diagnostic tool. If the patient feels a significant improvement after using RehaSplint for a short period of time (24h), a neuromuscular cause may be considered.

Occlusal interference is a possible cause for myarthropathy. Every prosthetic restoration, extraction, orthodontic treatment etc. always changes the static and dynamic occlusion. Even very small occlusal interferences, on the order of microns, can have a disruptive effect and can lead to a loading of the craniomandibular system.

RehaBite solves these problems and the patient adopts a comfortable neuromuscular position.
