Ultrapak Retraction cord

Ultradent's Ultrapak retraction cord is made of 100% cotton with a tight braid ("criss-cross"). The unique braid design ensures continuous force after placement as the braided rings stretch.

Optimal gingival retraction is achieved after 1-3 minutes.

Ultrapak retraction cord is not impregnated.

It is used to perform gingival retraction prior to taking dental impressions and also when applying ferric sulphate solutions to subgingival areas to control sulcular fluid.

Ultrapak is designed to facilitate tissue management techniques in conjunction with ViscoStat, Astringedent and Dento-Infuser. Ultrapak non-impregnated retraction cords are also recommended in conventional techniques using aluminium chloride, as they can be soaked with haemostatic solutions to a greater extent than conventional cords.
