Astringedent X from Ultradent is a hemostatic solution based on iron sulfate and iron subsulfate with pH 1.0. It is not as gentle on tissue compared to other hemostatic agents, but is less acidic than competing iron subsulfate solutions.
This product is used when a stronger haemostatic agent is needed and when bleeding is more abundant and more difficult to stop.
