DIAGNOcam KaVo
Real-time, non-invasive cavity diagnosis device. High quality images, without any radiation
KaVo DIAGNOcam images offer a vaster certainty of diagnosis, given its revolutionary image quality. KaVo DIAGNOcam allows you to see structures of the teeth such as lesions caused by tooth decay or fissures which are practically impossible to notice through other means of diagnosis.
Moreover, KaVo DIAGNOcam makes it easier to spot proximal and occlusal caries. Furthermore, secondary cavities can be fixed under the composite layer (up to a certain depth). How is it now possible to achieve these images without any X rays ?
The key word is DIFOTI (Digital Imaging Fiberoptic Transillumination).
KaVo DIAGNOcam now offers you images that are obtained without any radiation - through means of a light that is perfectly adapted to this examination method.
The tooth's structure allows for the light to pass through from the entry area to the camera.
Areas that block light (ex. cavities and decay) have a clear well distinguishable aspect, compared to the dark area.
A digital video camera captures a very clear and visible image on the screen.
Advantages:
+ identifying all types and sizes of the cavities, even the early ones, at the dentine level
+ 0 levels of radiation - pregnant women can also be diagnosed, alongside children, cancer patients, and immobilised persons.
+ images are displayed on a monitor in real time
