Porcelain Bonding Resin 6ml

Porcelain Binding Resin is an adhesive resin that does not contain HEMA.

 

HEMA is a hydrophilic material necessary for dentin adhesion, due to the natural presence of water in the dental substance.

 

When adhesion is made between a surface of silanized porcelain ( so hydrophobic ) and a cement ( hydrophobic ) no HEMA resin is required.

 

The advantage of removing HEMA resin is that the interface at the level of porcelain restoration remains hydrophobic and resists water infiltration.

 

Otherwise, a hydrophilic surface would be subject to pigmentation due to water infiltration ( water trees).
