Flaws in enamel
Enamel flaws vary widely in terms of location, position in enamel, color and enamel structure. Besides traumatic hypomineralization and amelogenesis imperfecta, fluorosis and hypomineralization of molar incisors (MIH) and their treatment options are a much discussed topic.
Gentle whitening for a healthy smile
Developmental enamel opacities are particularly problematic in childhood because the altered structure of tooth enamel is clearly visible. Affected anterior teeth show opacities ranging from bright white or cream to yellow or brown. These opacities have an aesthetic impact and can therefore be particularly worrying for adolescents, affecting their self-confidence, self-esteem, general satisfaction, social relationships and overall quality of life.
Developmental enamel opacities contain a high level of organic protein structures, recognizable by their yellow to brownish color. This can be reduced by pre-treating the affected area with Flairesse whitening gel, which adjusts its color, making it more like the surrounding healthy enamel.
Flairesse whitening gel has a gentle whitening effect due to its low active ingredient content of only 5% CP A study showed that the 5% CP product was causing less sensitivity compared to other products with higher concentrations
